This Privacy Policy explains how Ascend Holdings LLC, doing business as betterDog ("betterDog," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with betterdogshop.com (the "Site").

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, through our customer support channels, and through our marketing communications. It does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@betterdogshop.com and we will delete it.

3. Payment Information

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Payment card information is collected and processed directly by our payment processors, including Shopify Payments and any additional processors we enable, each of which maintains its own privacy practices. We receive only limited transaction information, such as the card type, the last four digits, and the authorization result.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  1. process, fulfill, and deliver your orders;
  2. manage Auto-Refill subscriptions, including recurring billing and renewal notices;
  3. provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  4. send transactional communications, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, and subscription notices;
  5. send marketing communications where you have consented, subject to your right to withdraw consent at any time;
  6. operate, improve, and secure the Site, and to understand how it is used;

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

  1. Service providers who process personal information on our behalf and under contract, including our e-commerce platform, payment processors, subscription management provider, fulfillment and shipping carriers, email and messaging providers, customer support tools, and analytics providers;

  3. Professional advisors, including legal counsel and accountants, where necessary;

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Our use of advertising and analytics cookies may nonetheless constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or processing for "targeted advertising," under certain state privacy laws. We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, to remember your cart and preferences, to measure the performance of the Site and our marketing, and to deliver advertising that may be relevant to you.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may require proof of that authorization.

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will inform you of the outcome of the appeal and of any further recourse available to you under your state's law.

9. Marketing Communications

You may withdraw your consent to marketing email at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by emailing support@betterdogshop.com. We will continue to send transactional messages relating to your orders and subscriptions.

10. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. United States Only

We sell and ship only within the United States, and we operate the Site from the United States. Personal information we collect is processed in the United States.

The Site may contain links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and this Policy does not apply to them.

We may revise this Policy at any time by posting an updated version to the Site. The "Last updated" date will reflect the revision. Material changes will take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
